Welcome to Manu Kindergarten

A family-owned centre, providing high quality Early Childhood Education in New Plymouth for over 30 years.

❋ Location

We’re located in a quiet back section in Vogeltown, New Plymouth. This peaceful setting gives tamariki the freedom to play in a calm, secure place that feels like a home away from home.

❋ Small group size

Group size in early childhood is a key factor in determining children’s learning and social development. With this in mind we are maintain a small group size of up to 20 tamariki, aged from 3 to 5 years old.

❋ Fully trained teachers

We have a small staff of fully trained teachers…

Our programme

Guided by Te Whāriki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, our play-based programme supports holistic development. We have a rich environment in which children choose their own activities for much of the day. We also have routines and rituals around group time, music and kai, providing just the right amount of structure.

ETC ETC

“We have absolutely loved Manu Kindergarten for our three very different children. The nurturing environment, dedicated staff, and calm, positive atmosphere helped each of them find their place, grow in confidence, and truly thrive.

The teachers are exceptionally caring, fun, and kind. We’ve recommended Manu Kindergarten to many families, and we’re genuinely sad that our time there is coming to an end.”
